Programs Offered

YouthBuild programs are comprehensive, blending education, vocational training, community service, and support services. While programs vary by location based on community needs, funding, and partnerships, the core components are consistent across the network.

Vocational Training

Construction

A hallmark of YouthBuild, participants learn hands-on construction skills by building or rehabilitating affordable housing, community centers, or schools for low-income communities. Training includes industry-recognized credentials like NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research), OSHA-10, and others. For example, YBPCS students work on real construction sites under skilled trainers, learning both hard skills (e.g., carpentry) and soft skills (e.g., punctuality, teamwork).

Other In-Demand Industries

Beyond construction, programs offer training in high-demand fields like healthcare, information technology (IT), hospitality, manufacturing, and culinary arts.

Digital Media Arts

YouthBuild offers comprehensive training in digital media arts, including video shooting and video editing. Participants learn professional equipment handling, storytelling techniques, and post-production skills using industry-standard software. These skills prepare students for careers in media production, content creation, and digital marketing.

Community Service

Participants engage in service projects, such as building affordable housing or volunteering in community initiatives, fostering a sense of responsibility and leadership.
